Casket Robbery "From Hell" [Song Review]
About The Band
Casket Robbery have continued to be an important player in the Wisconsin Death Metal scene ever since their 2016 debut album 'Evolution Of Evil. Despite still being a relatively young band, they've already carved out a uniquely identifiable sound for themselves, which in a genre as competitive as death metal, is no easy task. Their success continued into 2017 with the release of their EP 'The Ascension'. With an extensive touring history, multiple appearances on sampler compilations, and a dedicated fan base, The band now arrives with a brand new Single.
'From Hell' is the title of the new song, and it's pretty fitting. Megan Orvold's vocals are hard hitting and primal, with the remainder of the band backing up the harsh tone quite nicely. Drummer Alex Simpson is undoubtedly a standout contender, with his fast paced yet precise style of playing adding tons of explosive power to the already intense output. One thing that cannot be overlooked when talking about this band is their excellent ear for melody. The mix of catchy rhythms with brute force found in the track is done with care and perfection, adding layers of depth to the music that oftentimes gets overlooked by other bands in the style, whether it's done on purpose or not. Either way, Melody and brutality rarely sound so great as they do in this stellar song.
'From Hell' is an exciting new step for Casket Robbery, and is sure to get fans eager for what's to come next, I know I sure am. If you haven't already, make it a top priority to give this a listen. I assure you, you won't be disappointed. It's that good.
